Non-communicable diseases (NCDs) are the first cause of death in the world. In the pandemic era, patients affected by NCDs were more susceptible to contracting the infection and developing its most severe clinical pictures. The widespread diffusion of NCDs is partly related to incorrect eating habits and a sedentary lifestyle that characterize developed Countries. This phenomenon can also be attributable to the epidemiological transition, which has caused the NCCDDs spread also in developing Countries.

Among NCDs, chronic kidney disease (CKD), cardiovascular diseases (CVDs), and cancer are the most notable. In fact, the first one is characterized by a pervasive spread and it was hypothesized that in 2040, CKD will become the fifth most common cause of death in the world. Currently, CVDs are the main cause of death in the world, taking an estimated 17.9 million lives each year.

Health education promotes and emphasizes lifestyle improvements as well as awareness of increasing health-related activities. Thus far, it seems that the adoption of regular physical activity along with personalized nutrition can help to improve the quality of life in NCD patients. This Research Topic aims to gather research regarding the impact of lifestyle changes on the onset and progression of NCDs. We welcome papers on topics including, but not limited to:
• Lifestyle interventions relating to the treatment and prevention of NCDs, mainly CKD, cancer, and cardiovascular diseases
• The impact of combined nutritional and physical activity intervention in patients with NCDs
• Safety of physical activity programs, both at home and in care situations
• Personalized nutritional and lifestyle counseling for NCDs

Keywords: Personalized Nutritional Approaches, Adapted Physical Activity, Breast Cancer, Chronic Kidney Disease, Cardiovascular Diseases, cancer
