About this Research Topic
The aim of this article collection is to highlight novel production methods for hydrogen peroxide which can be driven with renewable energy sources. Especially process intensification and efficiency optimization approaches are of great interest. The design and application of novel catalyst materials and solvents are highly appreciated. Besides the production also direct application strategies, ideally in situ consumption of hydrogen peroxide, which highlight the need for delocalized hydrogen peroxide production are sought after.
The scope of this article collection is to show sustainable production methods for the generation of hydrogen peroxide and their direct combination for synthetic chemistry and biocatalytic applications. It concerns, but is not limited to, the areas of:
• Photocatalysis
• Electrochemistry
• Biocatalysis
• Direct Synthesis
• Plasma reactions
Keywords: Hydrogen Peroxide, Photocatalysis, Electrocatalysis, Direct Synthesis, Water Oxidation, Oxygen Reduction
