Over the past decades, the investigation of the dual-career phenomenon among student-athletes has witnessed noteworthy advancements. It is well known the demands and challenges to achieve a mastery elite performance in sport combined with academic commitments. However, studies have reported segmented information on it, mostly due to the difficulty of investigating those several aspects that influence the development of a dual-career and the perspective of adopting a unidimensional view. Consequently, there is a pressing need to embrace a comprehensive, multidimensional view to prepare them for any future that they can be expecting.Such an encompassing perspective is paramount in discerning their requisites and proactively equipping them for the diverse range of future possibilities they may encounter. A singular viewpoint, bereft of a holistic purview, may engender misapprehensions about their dual-career trajectories. In light of this, we want to encourage researchers to combine their knowledge with the practical context lived by millions of student-athletes all over the world.
