About this Research Topic
Advanced energy systems are designed to ensure sustainable development and for meeting climate goals. Many considerations including pollutant emissions, operation stability, resource requirements, system reliability, energy efficiency, process efficiency enhancement, and waste heat recovery are studied and improved. Recent progress in advanced energy systems will help a deep understanding, thereby accelerating the development of large-scale advanced energy systems. This Research Topic is focused on the recent progress in advanced energy systems.
We invite scientific researchers, engineering individuals, and policymakers to contribute original research articles as well as review articles which will stimulate the continuing efforts to understand the advanced energy systems. All the submissions are expected to have original ideas and new approaches. Topics covered with respect to advanced energy systems in this research topic include, but are not limited to the following:
• Thermal energy systems
• Chilled water systems
• Combined cooling, heating and power systems
• Energy storage system
• Nuclear energy systems
• Renewable energy systems
• Thermodynamic analysis of advanced energy systems
• Optimized design for advanced energy systems
• Other related topics
