MicroRNAs are key molecules involved in plant development and response to biotic and abiotic stresses. Since plants cannot escape from the place where unfavorable conditions have arisen, they sense stress factors and change their metabolism also via the microRNAs and their targets expression changes. Plant microRNAs: miR399, miR395 and miR397 are expressed in response to phosphate, sulfate and copper deficiencies, respectively. Here we would like to present a comprehensive set of information concerning plant microRNAs and their role in plant nutrient (macro- and microelements) stress response.
