About this Research Topic
The goal of this research topic is to compile the most recent research on plant pathogens and to advance our understanding of the field of plant pathology. A better understanding of this field will help us in the development of effective plant disease control measures as well as provide security for agricultural yields, all of which are critical to food security in the context of climate change and the expanding global population.
Therefore, we welcome all types of submissions covering, but not limited to, the below:
- Diagnosis, identification, and characterization of plant pathogens.
- Diversity, emergence, evolution, distribution, and transmission of plant pathogens.
- Pathogenesis and management of plant pathogens
Keywords: plant pathology, climate change, pathogens, agriculture, food security, pathogenesis, transmission, host adaptation
Important Note: All contributions to this Research Topic must be within the scope of the section and journal to which they are submitted, as defined in their mission statements. Frontiers reserves the right to guide an out-of-scope manuscript to a more suitable section or journal at any stage of peer review.
