About this Research Topic
Our Research Topic includes areas for current and possible future therapies with host-directed drug therapy to achieve augmentation of protective host factors to combat infectious infectious and non-communicable diseases.
This is highly relevant world-wide and particular in developing countries with high infection rates and drug-resistant strains. Areas also included methods to identify new host-directed therapeutics, model systems for testing, current and emerging infectious diseases, development from identification to compound formulation, and future perspectives.
Keywords: Infectious diseases, non-communicable diseases, inflammation, host-directed drug therapy, pathology
Important Note: All contributions to this Research Topic must be within the scope of the section and journal to which they are submitted, as defined in their mission statements. Frontiers reserves the right to guide an out-of-scope manuscript to a more suitable section or journal at any stage of peer review.
