The major health and energy crises caused by environmental changes have always attracted attention, especially in recent years, the incidence of cancer has shown a trend of increasing year by year and younger. With the development of nanotechnology, intelligent bioactive colloids have received extensive attention in various fields, especially in health care and environmental protection. Although significant achievements have been made in biomedicine (controlled drug release systems, nano-molecular probes, nano-contrast agents, hydrogels for antibacterial applications, antifobrotic applications; anti-inflammatory applications and the modulation of Reactive Oxygen Species), there are still many problems, such as drug control system, how to balance efficiency and biological safety.

The scope of the Research Topic is the latest progress made by the preparation and application of intelligent bioactive nanocolloids in the field of health. It focuses on the advantages of bioactive colloid and intelligent nanomaterials, traditional clinical treatment methods, technologies, and looks forward to the future development trend of colloids and intelligent nanomaterials.

We welcome papers on, but not limited to:
• Nanocolloids for smart drug/gene delivery systems;
• Nanocolloids for biocatalysis;
• Nanocolloids for antibacterial, antifobrotic and anti-inflammatory applications;
• Nanocolloids for reshaping of microenvironmental of the modulation of Reactive Oxygen Species.
