About this Research Topic
This Research Topic is associated with the 8th international and interdisciplinary Symposium Art in Motion, to take place virtually on June 2 & 3, 2023. Participation in this event is highly recommended but not mandatory.
The aim of this Research Topic is to collect articles that provide insights into motivation and drive over the short and long term, even in the face of challenges that may arise. The collection intends to provide interdisciplinary perspectives on motivation in performers, including those in music, dance, and athletics, as well as all others who aspire to excel in their fields. The research presented will examine factors that motivate learners and professionals to continue practicing and rehearsing, as well as optimize their training methods in order to sustain effort over time. Intrinsic and extrinsic incentives, along with the role of grit, passion and self-determination, will be part of this collection.
