Proceedings of Olivebioteq 2018 – Olive Management, Biotechnology and Authenticity of Olive Products

About this Research Topic

This Research Topic aims to collect selected contributions to Olivebioteq 2018, the 6th International Conference on Olive Management and Olive Products, held in Seville, Spain, on 15th-19th October 2018.

The selected articles will highlight recent advances in the knowledge of the olive tree and will cover the main aspects of olive biology and management. In particular, this Topic will collect contributions in the areas of breeding and propagation, reproductive and molecular biology, genomics and biotechnology, crop response to biotic and abiotic stresses, and crop management.

Furthermore, this Research Topic will collect contributions focused on olive products, including table olive and olive oil quality, authenticity and technology, as well as studies on their nutritional properties and on the environmental impact of both olive growing and the use of derived by-products.

This multidisciplinary approach is of outstanding value for anyone interested on the olive tree and its products.

Keywords: Olive, Olive Oil, Olive Products

Important Note: All contributions to this Research Topic must be within the scope of the section and journal to which they are submitted, as defined in their mission statements. Frontiers reserves the right to guide an out-of-scope manuscript to a more suitable section or journal at any stage of peer review.
