This Research Topic aims to collect selected contributions to Olivebioteq 2018, the 6th International Conference on Olive Management and Olive Products, held in Seville, Spain, on 15th-19th October 2018.

The selected articles will highlight recent advances in the knowledge of the olive tree and will cover the main aspects of olive biology and management. In particular, this Topic will collect contributions in the areas of breeding and propagation, reproductive and molecular biology, genomics and biotechnology, crop response to biotic and abiotic stresses, and crop management.

Furthermore, this Research Topic will collect contributions focused on olive products, including table olive and olive oil quality, authenticity and technology, as well as studies on their nutritional properties and on the environmental impact of both olive growing and the use of derived by-products.

This multidisciplinary approach is of outstanding value for anyone interested on the olive tree and its products.
