Novel cable traction power supply system can effectively solve the issues caused by trains 3 passing through electrical phase separation and improve the utilization rate of regenerative energy 4 in the system. However, due to the cable power supply mode, its structure is relatively complex, 5 and the internal line energy consumption needs further study. To calculate the train-network line 6 losses, first this paper established the equivalent solid circuit model of the system through an 7 external cascade strategy. Then, based on the actual train operation load modeling, the power 8 output of the traction transformer and network losses under traction and regenerative braking 9 conditions were analyzed. The calculation results show that the proposed model can accurately 10 calculate and reflect the electrical characteristics of the traction energy supply system.
