Background

This Research Topic is devoted to presenting scientific information in regard to restoring function and limiting disability due to traumatic brain injury (TBI) and Spinal Cord Injury(SCI). The primary aim is to disseminate original research to professionals from multiple disciplines who study and/or treat persons who have experienced Neurotrauma.

Articles appearing in this Research Topic should address functional effects of TBI and SCI and interventions intended to ameliorate those effects. Findings should address the treatment of individuals and families affected by Neurotrauma, the systems of care in which services are provided, and the wider epidemiologic and public health issues. Manuscripts are expected to address questions that would be of interest to the wide range of professionals involved in Neurotrauma care.

Research submitted to this topic should be generally limited to human subjects with a history of TBI/SCI, the families and caregivers of individuals with TBI/SCI, and/or the systems of care in which TBI/SCI services and research are undertaken.
