Read moreThe section Cognitive Neuroscience publishes rigorously peer-reviewed research on cognitive neuroscience, a collective term under which various scientific disciplines study the mental processes involved in cognition. Areas covered by this section include, but are not limited to, neurophysiological and neuroanatomical works on cognition, which make use of structural and functional neuroimaging techniques (e.g. EEG, fMRI, MRI) and optimized analysis tools, statistical and mobile brain activity measurement methods. Longitudinal studies and collaborative efforts from different laboratories are especially welcome. This section seeks to integrate and cross-link research in the cognitive neuroscience field and will promote and foster the understanding of the neural underpinnings of human cognition and behavior. Original Research articles are of special interest, but Review, Perspective and Opinion articles that discuss and debate timely topics in the field are also welcome.
