The evolution of nanotechnology is transforming the landscape of drug delivery, offering new avenues to address challenges in medicine. Antibody-drug conjugates, polymer-drug conjugates, nanoparticles, nanospheres, liposomes are examples of the progress towards more effective, targeted, and safer therapies. These nano-based approaches enhance drug solubility, stability, biocompatibility, and bioavailability while enabling site-specific delivery and controlled release, particularly in oncology.
Led by Specialty Chief Editor, Prof. Gianfranco Pasut, and Prof. Santosh Kumar, this Research Topic aims to explore the next generation of nano-based drug delivery systems, with a spotlight on polymer-drug conjugates, antibody-drug conjugates, and targeting strategies for anticancer therapy. We seek contributions that deepen understanding of the molecular design, functionalization, biological interactions, in vitro and in vivo performance, and translational potential of these systems. Our objective is to provide a platform for the latest advances that drive precision medicine, improve patient outcomes, and support the development of effective therapies.
This Research Topic welcomes submissions around, but not limited to:
• Design, synthesis, and characterization of polymer-drug conjugates and antibody-drug conjugates for targeted delivery • Development of advanced drug targeting strategies using nano-based platforms • Design, synthesis, and characterization of nanosphere for targeted delivery • Evaluation of preclinical and clinical outcomes in anticancer therapy using nano-conjugates • Interactions between polymeric and antibody conjugates with biological systems • Nano-based targeting and conjugate delivery for cancer
