The Molecular Cytogenetics section is dedicated to publishing research focused on the comprehensive study of chromosome biology and the application of molecular cytogenetic techniques.

Led by Dr. Fengtang Yang from Shandong University of Technology, the Molecular Cytogenetics section welcomes submissions in the various domains of chromosome biology, which connect the understanding of functional and structural organizations of chromosomes and nuclei with their applications in medical and tumor genetics.

Topics considered in the scope of this section include:

abnormalities in chromosomes in clinical genetics
animal and plant molecular cytogenetics and genomics
applications of fluorescence in-situ hybridization (FISH) techniques in clinical cytogenetics
