Pituitary metastases are rare, accoun ng for only 1% of all pituitary tumor resec ons. Prostate adenocarcinoma, a common malignancy in men, seldom metastasizes to the pituitary gland, with only a few reported cases. Given their rarity and nonspecific clinical presenta on, pituitary metastases are o en mistaken for primary sellar lesions. Advanced imaging techniques, including Prostate-Specific Membrane An gen (PSMA) PET/CT, and molecular diagnos cs such as DNA methyla on profiling, can aid in accurate diagnosis and differen a on from pituitary adenomas.
