Background

The Inflammatory Eye Diseases section within Frontiers in Ophthalmology is delighted to present the inaugural themed collection: Reviews in Inflammatory Eye Diseases. This collection aims to showcase high-quality, authoritative, and reader-friendly review papers covering the most topical research at the forefront of inflammatory eye diseases.

The cutting-edge work presented in this article collection highlights recent advances in ocular inflammation while emphasising important directions and new possibilities for future inquiries.

This collection welcomes Review and Mini Review articles across all areas of inflammatory eye diseases. Topics include, but are not limited to:

· Geographic variation and epidemiology of uveitis and related ocular inflammations
· Evolving molecular and immunologic approaches in etiologic diagnosis
