The effects of external factors such as inflammation and lifestyle habits like smoking further exacerbate these changes.
This Research Topic aims to comprehensively explore the intricacies of aging in the reproductive systems of male and female bodies, particularly focusing on the correlations between advanced reproductive age and pregnancy outcomes. Key objectives include identifying biological markers predicting successful pregnancy, and examining the influences of mitochondrial dysfunction, reactive oxygen species, and placental aging.
