Dosimetry and Radiation Safety publishes high-quality basic and applied, translational and clinical research in all aspects of dosimetry, radiobiology and radiation protection in nuclear medicine. Absorbed dose, radiobiology and dose-effect models form an essential part in the understanding of ionizing radiation effects like therapeutic effects, radiation toxicity and health physics of nuclear medicine applications.
The Dosimetry and Radiation Safety section of Frontiers in Nuclear Medicine publishes high-quality basic and applied, translational and clinical research in all aspects of dosimetry, radiobiology and radiation protection in nuclear medicine. Absorbed dose, radiobiology and dose-effect models form an essential part in the understanding of ionizing radiation effects like therapeutic effects, radiation toxicity and health physics of nuclear medicine applications. Areas covered by this section include, but are not limited to:
• Clinical dosimetry
• Small scale dosimetry models
• Radionuclide radiation transport models
• Dose-effect relations
• Treatment planning for radionuclide therapy
• Pre-clinical dosimetry
• Radiobiology of response to radionuclide exposure
• Radiation protection in nuclear medicine
• Pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics
All contributions should be aimed at better perceptions into the physical, medical and biological science of radiation effects within nuclear medicine.
