This Research Topic represents speaker presentations and delegates submissions from the First Longevity Med Summit in Cascais Portugal, 4-5 May 2023. The global increase in elderly populations has highlighted the medical and socioeconomic challenges to societies and enhanced academic and industry innovation in R&D to develop interventions for age-associated diseases and healthy longevity. The Summit has more than 200 delegates from 25 countries and over 40 academic and industry global thought-leaders sharing the latest insights in longevity medicine, healthy aging, and targeting interventions across the life course to facilitate healthier and longer lives.
All the Summit speakers and participants have the opportunity to disseminate their work presented during the meeting as peer-reviewed publications, through this Research Topic, led by Richard Siow, Philipp Gut, Evelyne Bischoff, Helena Canhao, and Claudia Cavadas. Manuscripts will be handled by the Editorial Board members of Frontiers in Aging - Nutrition in Aging and Healthy Longevity section.
