Women in Aging and the Immune System: Volume 2

Current statistics reveal that women constitute less than a third of researchers globally, with persistent biases and gender stereotypes continuing to impede their full participation in science. As gender equality is crucial for sustainable development, there is a pressing need to dismantle these barriers and cultivate an inclusive environment within the scientific community.

This Research Topic aims to showcase and promote the scientific contributions of women in the fields of aging and immunology, highlighting the innovative research and breakthroughs achieved by female scientists. By focusing on the work of women, this series not only celebrates their achievements but also aims to inspire change in the cultural and institutional practices that hinder gender equality in STEM fields.
