Background

With the advancement of medical imaging, the diagnosis and treatment of various conditions have undergone a revolution. Recently, artificial intelligence, especially deep learning methods, has been instrumental and ubiquitous in the development of sophisticated medical imaging algorithms, leading to groundbreaking innovations in biosciences for diagnosis and treatment. Artificial Intelligence has opened doors to unmatched opportunities in understanding the complexity of the human body and its behavior. Therefore, these technologies offer immense potential in biosciences and medicine. Thus, the use of artificial intelligence in medical imaging has inspired the development of effective applications and methods in biomedicine and biosciences, such as diagnosis, treatment, monitoring, biological modeling and simulation, etc.

The aim of this Research Topic is to give the researchers and scientists the opportunity to provide new tendencies, latest achievements and research directions as well as present their current work on the important problems of medical imaging and artificial intelligence in biosciences for diagnosis and treatment, signal and image processing techniques in biosciences, deep learning methods, biomatics and biomedicine, soft computing methods in biosciences, bioimpedance measurement in biosciences, molecular recognition and applied robotic solutions in biosciences and medicine. The integration of medical imaging with artificial intelligence has recently emerged as a transformative advancement in medicine and biosciences, offering significant potential to enhance diagnostic accuracy, optimize treatment planning, molecular diagnostics and therapeutics, and improve patient outcomes. Therefore, this Research Topic seeks to highlight recent advancements in this area.
