Genomic Medicine, Therapeutics, and Health: Thai Symposium & Workshop in Bangkok

Genomic medicine stands at the vanguard of medical innovation, offering insights into disease mechanisms and paving the way for personalized healthcare solutions. Over the years, significant strides have been made in biobanking, data generation (including molecular data, large-scale imaging, and health record linkages), and advanced computational techniques, all of which are vital to ushering in this new era. Despite the progress, gaps remain in effectively translating these scientific breakthroughs into tangible health improvements, underlining the need for interdisciplinary collaborations and knowledge exchange.

This Frontiers Research Topic is centered on the insights and discussions from the Thai Symposium & Workshop on Genomic Medicine, Therapeutics, and Health (web link: https://www.thaigenomics2025.com/ ) hosted by McGill University at Bangkok, Thailand scheduled to be held on the 9th of June till the 13th.

We aim to delve into the diverse approaches and methodologies shaping the genetics field, with a specific focus on genome-editing, RNA-based medicine, and cellular therapies. Emphasis will be placed on applications in oncology, highlighting the promising potential of these cutting-edge therapies. Furthermore, the symposium intends to explore the critical role of collaborations between academia and industry in accelerating these advances to improve health outcomes.
