The Omics section publishes papers dealing with the development as well as applications of omics technology. The section aims to cover work exemplifying and improving the availability, specificity, application, and integration of omics approaches. Articles may focus on specific aspects of Omics, such as study design, sample gathering and storage, sample preparation, data generation, data processing, and data analysis. Contributions including high-sensitivity analysis, single-cell analysis, and integrated omics are particularly welcomed. Application areas include healthcare, biomedicine, biotechnology, various biological disciplines, and nutrition. Furthermore, the section covers the implementation of novel omics approaches in various disciplines including forensics and archeology.

All contributions have to be of high analytical quality, and analytical performance measures have to be indicated.

Omics welcomes submissions of the following article types: Correction, Editorial, General Commentary, Mini Review, Original Research, Perspective and Review.
All manuscripts must be submitted directly to the section Omics, where they are peer-reviewed by the Associate and Review Editors of the specialty section.
