To analyze the clinical efficacy of modified laparoscopic sacral fixation with Mersilene tape in the treatment of pelvic organ prolapse. Methods: Eighty patients with pelvic organ prolapse who were scheduled for surgical treatment and visited the hospital from January 2019 to February 2023 were selected. The patients were divided into a control group and an observation group by the red-blue ball method, with 40 patients in each group. The control group received sacrospinous ligament suspension fixation, while the observation group received modified laparoscopic sacral fixation with Mersilene tape. The surgical-related indexes, pelvic floor function, cure rate, recurrence rate, and complications of the two groups were compared. Results: Compared with the control group, the observation group had lower postoperative complications, shorter operation time, shorter indwelling urethral catheter time, shorter hospital stay, and lower recurrence rate (P<0.05); the subjective cure rate was higher, and the improvement was more significant compared with the control group and before the operation (P<0.05). Conclusion: Modified laparoscopic sacral fixation with Mersilene tape for the treatment of pelvic organ prolapse can achieve a shorter operation time, a good subjective cure rate, and a lower recurrence rate. It is a safe and efficient surgical method for improving pelvic floor function and is worthy of clinical promotion.
