We are delighted to present the inaugural “Future Directions in Metals and Alloys” article collection. This collection showcases high-impact, authoritative, and accessible review articles covering important topics at the forefront in the fields of Mechanical Properties of Metals, Metal Corrosion and Protection, Physical Metallurgy and Physical Properties of Metals.

To build on the quality across each section of our newly launched journal all contributing authors are our most remarkable members, our Editors-in-Chief.

The cutting-edge work presented in this article collection highlights the diversity of research performed across the entire breadth of Metals and Alloys and reflects on the latest advances in theory, experiment, and methodology with applications to compelling problems.
