About this Research Topic

This Research Topic is still accepting articles.

Background

The Research Topic is organized in conjunction with the International Conference on Artificial Intelligence and Green Computing (ICAIGC), to welcome contributions focused on Human-environment Centered AI presented at the 2023 event (or past sessions) in the form of extended papers.

In the multifaceted realm of artificial intelligence, the engagement of AI technologies with human-environment interactions has surfaced as a pivotal area of exploration. As AI systems mature, their deployment across various sectors—ranging from natural language processing and computer vision to industry-specific implementations like medical image analysis and the burgeoning fields of IoT and big data—has underscored their capability to revolutionize efficiency and analytical insights. Yet, amidst these advancements, a balanced inquiry into the dual-edged implications of AI on society and ecological systems is increasingly critical.

This Research Topic aims to elucidate the transformative potential of AI technologies configured to enhance human-environmental contexts. The primary objective is to showcase cutting-edge AI applications that foster both human well-being and environmental sustainability. Through the lens of extended papers from the 2023 International Conference on Artificial Intelligence and Green Computing—and pertinent submissions from earlier conferences—we seek to amplify discourse on the integration of AI in creating smart, adaptive, and sensitive systems to human and environmental needs.

To gather further insights within this defined boundary, we welcome articles addressing, but not limited to, the following themes:
○ AI applications for healthcare improvement;
○ IoT solutions for healthcare, e-health, and assisted living dynamics;
○ Leveraging big data for enhanced healthcare management.

Our collection invites original research, reviews, and case studies that exemplify recent advances and real-world applicability of human-environment-centered AI. The aim is to foster a repository of knowledge that not only reflects current technological strides but also stimulates progressive dialogue on the contextual deployment of AI technologies.
