About this Research Topic

This Research Topic is closed for submissions.

Background

Gynaecologic oncology has seen considerable progress in diagnosing, screening, and treating precancerous lesions and invasive carcinomas. Recent advances in molecular and imaging diagnostics continue to enhance our understanding and capabilities in early detection and accurate diagnosis of various conditions.

However, developing and integrating these innovative approaches into clinical practice remains uneven, with significant disparities in outcomes among different populations. Ongoing research is crucial to address these challenges and exploit new opportunities for improved patient care.

This Research Topic aims to explore and push the boundaries of current practices in gynaecologic oncology. It seeks to assess and evaluate the latest advancements in molecular and imaging diagnostics and innovate screening methods and preventive strategies.

The goal is also to investigate the effectiveness and applicability of evolving therapeutic approaches in managing early-stage and advanced gynaecologic diseases.

To gather further insights into the management of gynaecologic oncology, we welcome articles addressing, but not limited to, the following themes:

• Recent advancements in molecular diagnostics for early detection of gynaecologic cancers
• Innovations in imaging techniques specific to gynaecologic oncology
• Evaluation of new screening methods for their efficacy and accessibility
• Preventive strategies and their impact on reducing the incidence of invasive carcinomas
• Therapeutic advancements in treating both early-stage and advanced gynaecologic cancers

The Research Topic encourages submissions of original research, reviews, case studies, and methodological advances relevant to the field.

Keywords: Gynaecologic Oncology, Molecular Diagnostics, Cancer Screening, Cancer Prevention, Imaging Innovations, Artificial Intelligence, Therapeutic Advancements, Precision Medicine, Personalized Treatment Strategies

Important note: All contributions to this Research Topic must be within the scope of the section and journal to which they are submitted, as defined in their mission statements. Frontiers reserves the right to guide an out-of-scope manuscript to a more suitable section or journal at any stage of peer review.
