Background

The advent of multimodality cardiac imaging has transformed the landscape of diagnosing, risk stratifying, planning, and monitoring in structural heart disease and cardiomyopathies. The integration of transthoracic and transoesophageal echocardiography, cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR), computed tomography (CT), and nuclear imaging facilitates an in-depth, comprehensive view of cardiac anatomy, function, and tissue properties. This holistic approach is pivotal for the precise evaluation of complex valvular abnormalities, myocardial diseases, and congenital heart defects, empowering patient-centric decision-making and improving procedural and treatment outcomes.

This Research Topic is dedicated to showcasing the latest breakthroughs, innovations, and clinical applications of multimodality imaging in structural heart disease and cardiomyopathies.
