Abstract

Right pulmonary artery to left atrium al fistula is a rare cause of cyanosis in childhood. It may be diagnosed late due to the presence of minimal symptoms. We describe the case of a 3-year-old child who presented with dyspnea and cyanosis. Transthoracic echocardiography demonstrated an anomalous fistulous connection between the right pulmonary artery and a large aneurysm communicating with the roof of the left atrium. The patient underwent successful transcatheter occlusion using an atrial septal defect (ASD) Occluder. The patient had an uneventful recovery on follow up with resolution of cyanosis.
