Author “Samuel M. Woodman” was omitted as an author in the published article. The correct author list reads:
“Douglas J. Krause1*, Carolina A. Bonin2, Michael E. Goebel1, Christian S. Reiss1, Samuel M. Woodman1, George M. Watters1”
The Author contributions statement in the original published article was erroneously given as: “MG designed the study with support from CB and DK. DK analyzed the data with advice from GW, CR, and MG. DK, CB, and GW wrote the manuscript with input from MG and CR. MG, DK, and CB was completed field work. All authors read and approved the final manuscript.” The correct Author contributions statement is: “MG designed the study with support from CB, and DK. DK analyzed the data with advice from GW, CR, SW, and MG. DK, CB and GW wrote the manuscript with input from MG, SW, and CR. MG, DK, SW, and CB completed field work. SW and DK cleaned and managed the data. All authors read and approved the final manuscript”.
File “Table 1.docx” was erroneously published with the original version of this paper. The file has now been replaced. The replacement table corrects four census counts (1992 SSI, 2009 CS, 2010 CS, and 2017 CS) and all reported standard deviations which were discovered to be incorrect after publication.
In the Acknowledgements of the original published version of this paper we thanked “S. Woodman” for his “voluminous assistance [ … ] with data cleaning and organization” and for his editorial comments. However, he has now been added as an author, so the Acknowledgements section should read: “We send a heartfelt thank you to the dozens of dedicated U.S. AMLR biologists, technicians, and support staff, and our colleagues at the Instituto Antártico Chileano (INACH) without whom this work would not be possible. This paper was improved by comments from A. Lang. We also thank D. Losey for extensive support with library research”.
The original version of this article has been updated.
