The Nanocatalysis section publishes high-quality work across all aspects of catalysis at the nanoscale. The section covers fundamental, experimental and technology-oriented work across different phases (heterogenous or homogenous), materials (organic or inorganic) and driving forces (electrochemical or photo-/ thermal- initiated). All articles must show conceptual advances or novel insights into catalysis or catalysts with at least one dimension or process at the nanoscale.
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
• Synthesis and characterization of nanocatalysts
• Shape, size, surface composition and dimension effects
• Dispersion and aggregation of active materials (hydrophobicity or hydrophilicity)
• Asymmetric or symmetric catalytic effects
• Amorphous, defective or crystalline materials
This section also encourages articles with a strong focus on the dynamic reactive interface for complicated multiphase systems; diffusion optimization studies accompanied by intrinsic activity tailoring; new analytical methods that provide a novel understanding of nanocatalysts. Demonstration of the correlation between processing, structural engineering and performance enhancement of catalytic nanosystems are also considered for publication.

Nanocatalysis welcomes submissions of the following article types: Brief Research Report, Correction, Editorial, Methods, Mini Review, Original Research, Perspective, Review, Specialty Grand Challenge and Technology and Code.
All manuscripts must be submitted directly to the section Nanocatalysis, where they are peer-reviewed by the Associate and Review Editors of the specialty section.
