Background
In the complex realm of autoimmune diseases, psoriatic arthritis (PsA) presents unique diagnostic challenges due to its variable clinical symptoms and the subtleties of its early inflammatory processes, particularly at the synovial-entheseal interface. Recent strides in immunoinflammatory research and imaging technologies have opened new opportunities for prompt and precise PsA diagnosis, which is pivotal for enhancing patient treatment outcomes. The fluctuating nature of PsA symptoms and the critical need for standardized diagnostic approaches underscore the importance of this Research Topic.
This Research Topic aims to elucidate the clinical advantages of early PsA intervention. There is ongoing discussion within the medical community regarding the potential of early treatment strategies to alter the trajectory of the disease significantly, thereby improving patient quality of life.
