Background

The field of Neurosurgery is continually evolving, driven by innovative practices and novel insights. High-quality case reports play a significant role in this advancement by documenting unique patient cases that challenge conventional diagnosis and treatment approaches. They provide crucial insights into differential diagnosis and clinical decision-making, enhancing our understanding of unusual presentation and treatment outcomes.

This Research Topic aims to spotlight unique case reports that showcase unexpected or unusual diagnoses, treatment outcomes, or clinical courses in Neurosurgery. These reports offer guidance on differential diagnosis, decision-making processes, and clinical management of atypical cases, contributing significantly to educational resources and expertise within the neurosurgical community.

In this initiative, our scope is primarily focused on Case Report submissions, wherein the reports must be both original and impactful with the potential to significantly advance the field. We welcome neurosurgery articles focused on, but not limited to, the following themes:

- Uncommon neurosurgical diagnoses and their implications
- Innovative treatment methods and their outcomes
- Unanticipated complications and their management
- Case reports influencing future research directions
- Applied cases demonstrating enhanced clinical management strategies
