Fostering the next generation of brilliant minds in immunological research and steering the future of the field are the aims of the newly minted IUIS Junior Community. This research topic aims to outline the trajectory of state-of-the-art immunological research by showcasing the diversity and breadth of work conducted by up-and-coming immunologists around the globe. Led by Drs. Noushin Mossadegh-Keller and Anne Hahn, IUIS Junior Community Chairs, this collection provides a platform to share innovative work and ideas and highlight emerging concepts in immunology and its intersections with biomedical research and public health. We are particularly welcoming contributions harnessing cutting-edge technologies such as ‘omics technologies' or machine learning as well as work that is opening novel research avenues for the coming decade. Submissions from the entire breadth of immunological research spanning fundamental, applied, translational or clinical studies are encouraged.
