Background
The recurrence of breast cancer, often driven by drug resistance, remains a formidable challenge in oncology. Despite significant advancements in targeted therapies and personalized medicine, drug resistance across various treatment modalities, including endocrine therapy and immunotherapy, continues to compromise long-term efficacy and exacerbate tumour aggressiveness. Understanding the molecular underpinnings of drug resistance and developing innovative interventions is critical for improving survival outcomes and reducing recurrence rates. This Research Topic focuses on the mechanisms driving drug resistance in breast cancer and explores novel strategies to mitigate its impact. We invite researchers to contribute studies that advance our understanding of this critical area, offering insights into overcoming one of the most significant hurdles in breast cancer management.
