We are pleased to present this Research Topic featuring pioneering research by rising star researchers in the fields of cosmology and extragalactic astronomy.
This collection showcases the work of internationally recognized researchers in the early stages of their careers. As the future leaders of the field, the work of these researchers is fundamental to driving innovation and answering the many open questions about the past, present, and future of our Universe. By gathering a diverse range of perspectives and methodologies from the next generation of leading scientists we aim to drive forward the frontiers of astronomical research.
We invite contributions that explore topics including, but not limited to:
• Structure Formation and Galaxy Evolution • Large-scale structure of the Universe • Inflationary stages • Reheating • Cosmic Nucleosynthesis • Cosmic Microwave Background and Dark Ages • Dark Matter and Dark Energy • Novel solutions to General Relativity • Gravitational Waves and Gravitational Wave Astronomy • Active and Quiescent Galaxies • Star Formation and Stellar Astrophysics: Clusters, populations, and properties. • Interstellar and Intergalactic Medium
Authors of this collection have been nominated by members of our established editorial board, in recognition of their influence on the future directions in their respective fields. Spontaneous submissions to the collection are welcome and will be assessed by the topic editor team for inclusion.
Prospective authors are encouraged to contact the journal team at spacesciences@frontiersin.org to discuss fee support options well in advance of preparing their manuscript for submission.
A prize will be awarded to the best paper, as selected by the editors.
