This Research Topic aims to explore the integration of pharmacogenetics and pharmacogenomics in personalized medicine, specifically targeting their role in treating a variety of complex diseases and the current status of implementation practices. By investigating the genetic underpinnings of drug response, we aim to answer pressing questions regarding the customization of therapies based on individual genetic make-ups.
