Background
Embryo development and the embryo-endometrial interface are are fundamental to reproductive biology, with significant implications for fertility, pregnancy outcomes, and maternal health. Understanding the molecular and cellular mechanisms involved is crucial for the advancement of fertility treatments and the improvement of pregnancy outcomes. Despite significant progress in this field, gaps remain in comprehensively understanding these dynamic processes. Ongoing debates and studies highlight the importance of further investigating the molecular, cellular, and environmental factors at play, aiming to unravel the complexities of embryo implantation and maternal-fetal interactions.
This Research Topic aims to consolidate the latest developments and foster dialogue among experts across various disciplines. By doing so, it seeks to offer a comprehensive exploration of embryo development, implantation, and maternal-fetal interactions. The focal points include the identification of specific molecular signals, pathways involved in embryo-endometrial communication, and insights into the underlying cellular dynamics. The objective is to address existing gaps, explore new dimensions, and propose potential hypotheses regarding these critical aspects of reproductive biology.
The scope of this Research Topic is focused on exploring the complexities of embryo development and the embryo-endometrial interface. To gather further insights, we welcome articles addressing, but not limited to, the following themes:
