15 years of Frontiers in Psychiatry - Neurobiological Foundations and Methods

As Frontiers in Psychiatry celebrates its 15th anniversary of our first publication, we are pleased to announce our series of flagship 15 Years of Psychiatry Research Topics.

Focused on neurobiological foundations and methods, this Research Topic welcomes submissions across the scope of our Neuroimaging, Neurostimulation, Molecular Psychiatry, Computational Psychiatry and Social Neuroscience sections.

This Research Topic encourages submissions reflecting on the biggest developments over the last fifteen years and the research that will define the future of the psychiatry field, including but not limited to cutting-edge original research articles, review and mini-review articles, perspectives, and opinion pieces.

Example topics of interest include:

- The past and future role of AI in psychiatric research, including the integration of machine learning to enhance prediction of psychiatric risk factors and outcomes.
- Advancements and innovations in neuroimaging and neurostimulation techniques for better understanding and treatment of psychiatric disorders.
- Molecular markers and their role in psychiatric diagnosis and outcomes for personalized treatment strategies.
