With the rapid development of antenna and wireless communication technologies, the requirements for accuracy, efficiency, data transmission, and storage in array signal processing are constantly increasing. Traditional sampling and signal processing methods are gradually unable to meet these needs- especially in high-resolution antenna arrays and advanced propagation environments. Sparse sampling technology breaks through the limitations of the Nyquist sampling theorem, enabling accurate reconstruction of original spatial or temporal signals from few samples, which significantly reduces the cost and complexity of antenna hardware.
This Research Topic seeks to gather research articles focused on the advances in sparse sampling optimization design and sparse signal processing for antenna arrays, wireless propagation, radar, and related non-contact systems. The objective is to promote academic exchange and inspire new research ideas and methods for practical antenna, propagation, and wireless system applications. Researchers are invited to explore sparse sampling theory and methods, including compressive sensing theory, non-uniform sampling methods, adaptive sparse sampling strategies, and optimization design of sampling modes. The aim is to discuss novel approaches in sparse signal reconstruction and performance evaluations in high-dimensional data and complex noise environments.
The scope includes key challenges such as optimizing sparse array geometries, fast and adaptive reconstruction algorithms, and efficient suppression of side lobe and grating lobe effects in antennas and propagation systems. We encourage submissions on a variety of themes:
- Compressive sensing theory for antenna arrays. - Non-uniform and adaptive sparse array sampling. - Sparse signal reconstruction in complex environments. - Techniques for side lobe and grating lobe suppression. - Resource-efficient sensor and antenna array designs.
