WHAT ARE THE COMMUNICATION CHARACTERISTICS OF NOVICE TEACHERS SYMBOLIC IN LEARNING MATHEMATICS IN TRIGONOMETRY COMPARISON MATERIAL IN RIGHT TRIANGLES?

Teacher Communication Plays Various Roles in Learning. Among them are influencing, developing, and refining students' mathematical communication skills. Additionally, it can enhance students' comprehension, learning outcomes, academic achievements, and influence the level of enthusiasm in the classroom, while also contributing to students' career development. The aspects of teacher communication consist of clarity, assertiveness, responsiveness, communication relevance, and presentation style manipulation. One of the factors that influences teachers' skills in delivering materials, organizing the teaching process, and managing students in the classroom is teaching experience. There has been no research examining teacher communication in mathematics learning, specifically concerning teaching experience. The purpose of this research is to describe teacher communication in mathematics learning, focusing on the topic of trigonometric ratios in right-angled triangles. The subjects of this study are two novice teachers, each having 25 students. Novice teacher communication is characterized as progressive, responsive, relevant, and creative. Based on observation results, novice teacher communication falls into the category of very good.
