This review investigated the impact of hip-hop pedagogy on students` well-being, and constructs a model of teaching methods that implement the hip-hop teaching method in formal and informal learning environments. 17 studies indicated that within the overall framework of the hip-hop teaching method, hip-hop elements are formally and informally integrated with classroom content in learning environments, which can improve students` well-being, and that these impacts include self-acceptance, positive relationships with others, autonomy, environmental mastery, purpose in life, and personal growth. Although hip-hop pedagogy has the potential to improve students` well-being, gaps remain in exploring the synergistic effects of these elements and their implementation in diverse educational contexts. Future research should refine the study of the cross-cutting effects of hip-hop elements in formal and informal settings in order to maximize its effects of hip-hop pedagogy and improve the students` well-being on a global scale.
