Generic skills, or soft skills, are transversal competencies crucial for professional success, encompassing cognitive, social, and emotional abilities. Leadership behaviors during methodology implementation reveal a lack of understanding of soft skills development in specific sectors. Using PRISMA-2020-guided bibliometrics, results show growing interest in 2021 and 2022, with Chan, Studies In Higher Education, Australia, and the United Kingdom as key references. The theme evolved from "Transferable Skills" to "Higher Education" and "Engineering Education", with clusters like "General Education", "Higher Education", and "Gamification". Concepts like 'employability' and 'leadership' drive a proposed research agenda integrating new methodologies and technologies.
