The present study addresses the impact of transformational leadership on educational innovation in Ecuador through a systematic review, following the guidelines of the PRISMA method and using the Bibliometrix tool for bibliometric analysis. Academic articles were collected from indexed databases between 2018 and 2024, selecting those that explore the relationship between leadership and innovative processes in education. The results evidence a positive correlation between transformational leadership practices, such as motivational inspiration and idealized influence, and the implementation of educational technologies and disruptive methodologies. In addition, research gaps were identified related to the inclusion of rural contexts and the longitudinal evaluation of these practices. This article offers a comprehensive perspective to strengthen leadership strategies in educational settings, contributing to the sector's sustainable development.
