A Correction on
Comparative analysis of the therapeutic effect of antibiotic bone cement on Wagner grade 3 or 4 diabetic foot ulcer in heel and non-heel areas: a retrospective cohort study

By Jian Y, Li L, Chen W, An W, Guan R, Zhang Y, Wei J, Chang S, Zhou J, Nie K, Deng C and Wei Z (2025) Front. Endocrinol. 16:1662731. doi: 10.3389/fendo.2025.1662731

There was a mistake in Figure 1 as published. The number of patients in the Non-heel group was incorrectly stated as “52”. The correct number is “42”. The corrected Figure 1 appears below.

Figure 1
Flowchart illustrating a medical treatment process for DFU from January 2022 to December 2023 with 332 patients. Twenty refused treatment. Of 312 who had surgery, 77 received only NPWT. The remaining 235 underwent antibiotic bone cement therapy, with 158 excluded by criteria. Seventy-seven were allocated into a heel group (35) and non-heel group (42).

Figure 1. Schematic flow diagram of the study. DFU, diabetic foot ulcer; NPWT, negative pressure wound therapy.
