Epidemiology of Diabetes in Asia

Diabetes is a major health problem in Asia and the burden of the disease continues to increase. Amongst the many factors contributing to this rise are: industrialization, urbanization, diet, smoking, genetics and pollution. Steps must therefore be taken to tackle the social, economic, and health care challenges associated with diabetes in Asia.

The goal of this research topic is to explore the latest epidemiology of diabetes in Asia, focusing on screening, prevention, diagnosis and management. All article types accepted by Frontiers within this area of research are encouraged for submission.
