Urological diseases such as tumors, stones, and prostatitis pose significant health challenges worldwide. The immune microenvironment plays a pivotal role in the development and progression of these disorders. Research has indicated the critical importance of immunoregulation in the pathogenesis, progression, and treatment of urological diseases. Specifically, immunoregulation may serve as an effective therapeutic strategy in cancer treatment, kidney stone inhibition, and inflammation control in prostatitis. Therefore, a comprehensive investigation of the immunoregulatory mechanisms and novel therapeutic approaches in urological diseases holds significant clinical implications.
This Research Topic seeks to delve into the immunoregulatory mechanisms involved in urological tumors, stones, and prostatitis. Our goal is to identify novel therapeutic targets and propose effective treatment strategies. We invite submissions of Original Research, Reviews, Mini-Reviews, Case Reports, Clinical Trials, and Perspectives to deepen our understanding and foster innovative therapies.
Focus areas include, but are not limited to: • Immunoregulation in Urological Tumors: Investigating its role in the pathogenesis, progression, and treatment of conditions such as bladder cancer, renal cell carcinoma, and prostate cancer. • Immunoregulation and Urolithiasis: Exploring its influence on the formation, dissolution, and prevention of kidney and ureteral stones. • Immunoregulation in Prostatitis: Examining its impact on etiology, inflammation control, and treatment strategies. • Novel Therapeutic Targets: Discovery and validation of new immunoregulatory targets. • Combinatorial Immunotherapy Strategies: Integrating immunotherapy with other treatments like pharmacotherapy and physical therapy. • Immunotherapy Considerations: Addressing safety, tolerability, and patient selection criteria in urological contexts.
We aim to advance understanding and promote the development of pioneering therapies in urological diseases through these contributions.
