Entrepreneurship education has evolved from a business-oriented discipline into a pedagogical approach that aims to develop creativity, resilience, and agency among learners. Today, it is recognised as a key competence for lifelong learning and as a catalyst for leadership, innovation, and social responsibility across educational contexts.
This Research Topic positions entrepreneurship education as a transformative educational practice that enables individuals and institutions to lead change. It emphasises the role of teachers, school leaders, and higher education institutions in designing learning environments that foster empowerment, critical thinking, and inclusion. In particular, entrepreneurship education can play a vital role in supporting marginalised learners, such as migrants, abused women, and incarcerated women, by creating pathways toward autonomy, social reintegration, and personal development.
By situating entrepreneurship education within the field of educational leadership, this Research Topic contributes to the growing body of research that views entrepreneurship not only as an economic activity but as an educational process of leadership, agency, and social transformation.
This Research Topic aims to advance a pedagogically grounded and socially inclusive model of entrepreneurship education that supports leadership at all levels of the educational ecosystem. It invites contributions that examine how entrepreneurial learning can strengthen educators’ capacity to lead innovation, foster inclusion, and promote global citizenship within schools, universities, and community settings.
We welcome interdisciplinary research that reimagines entrepreneurship education as a form of leadership development, one that equips learners and educators to act ethically, collaboratively, and creatively in complex environments. We seek contributions that explore how educational leadership shapes the design, implementation, and impact of entrepreneurship education, whether through curriculum innovation, teacher professional development, institutional strategies, or policy frameworks. We particularly encourage research examining how educators act as facilitators of empowerment and social reintegration among vulnerable populations, as well as how leadership practices in education can bridge the divides between academic, vocational, and community learning.
By integrating perspectives from gender, migration, social reintegration, sustainability, and interculturality, this Research Topic aspires to redefine entrepreneurship education as a pedagogical space where leadership, inclusion, and innovation intersect, equipping learners not only to create ventures but to lead positive social and educational transformation.
Key objectives include:
• Identifying pedagogical and leadership principles that foster inclusivity, collaboration, and global competence.
• Exploring how educational leadership shapes curriculum design, teacher professional learning, and institutional change in entrepreneurship education.
• Demonstrating through empirical evidence and case studies how inclusive entrepreneurship education enhances learners’ empowerment, social responsibility, and capacity for innovation—especially among marginalised or vulnerable groups.
• Proposing integrative frameworks that connect fragmented approaches and build coherence across educational levels and contexts.
The ultimate goal is to promote a vision of entrepreneurship education that is diverse in experience but unified in purpose, preparing all learners to lead constructive change in their communities and professions.
We welcome conceptual, theoretical, empirical, and methodological contributions, as well as case studies, reviews, and reflective practices. Topics may include (but are not limited to):
• Integrative models of entrepreneurship education across contexts and cultures
• Leadership and institutional strategies for embedding entrepreneurship education across educational levels.
• Pedagogical innovations promoting inclusion, intercultural competence, and global awareness.
• Professional development of teachers and educational leaders to foster entrepreneurial learning.
• Cross-comparative analyses linking gendered, migrant, sustainable, and social entrepreneurship education.
• Entrepreneurship education as a pathway for empowerment and reintegration of marginalised groups (e.g., migrants, survivors of abuse, incarcerated women).
• Policy frameworks and governance models supporting inclusive entrepreneurial education.
• Digital and AI-driven entrepreneurship education: implications for leadership and pedagogy.
• Interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary approaches integrating social sciences, arts, engineering, and humanities to cultivate creativity and leadership.
• Assessment and impact evaluation methods for measuring how entrepreneurship education shapes learning outcomes, competences, and institutional transformation.
Authors are encouraged to propose new frameworks, pedagogical tools, or evaluation models that unify fragmented approaches and demonstrate global relevance. Submissions should contribute to building a comprehensive understanding of entrepreneurship education, one that values diversity as a catalyst for educational innovation and global competence.
