Influence of the Yucatan earthquake event

In the published article, there was an error in the Abstract. Instead of “65 million years ago,” the statement regarding the meteorite impact event should be corrected to “66 million years ago.” This now reads: “The findings of this study suggest that the seismic wave field generated by the meteorite impact event 66 million years ago may have caused the destruction of the Solid Earth, leading to the formation of the boundary between the Indian Ocean and the Pacific Plate.”

The authors apologize for this error and state that this does not change the scientific conclusions of the article in any way. The original article has been updated.
